Olliers Solicitors has always strived to deliver excellence both in expertise and client care. The firm offers a wide range of representation in all criminal law matters and has a specialist team to deal with road traffic offences.

Specialist Road Traffic Law Solicitors

Road Traffic law is an extremely niche area of criminal law and there is a rarity of genuine expertise across the UK. Many firms claim to specialise in this area but once you scratch the surface, it becomes apparent that they have no real track record of actually defending these cases successfully which is an area that Olliers Motor Law truly excels in.

Olliers Motor Law appreciates that the prospect of a motoring prosecution can be an extremely stressful situation, particularly if you are dependent upon your driving licence. Our lawyers will not bombard you with legal jargon but explain your situation to you as frankly as possible.

The Motor Law Department represents clients on a privately paid basis in both the Magistrates’ and Crown Courts throughout England and Wales. We have offices in both London and Manchester and have substantial experience in relation to all aspects of motoring law with our specialist team dealing with motoring prosecutions, including (but not limited to):

Our Specialist Motoring Solicitor Ruth Peters

Motoring Lawyer Ruth PetersRuth Peters joined Olliers Solicitors in 2005, trained with the firm and qualified as a solicitor in 2007.

Ruth has extensive experience within all criminal law matters but specialises in motoring law and regularly appears in courts nationwide helping clients navigate the often-intimidating court process. Ruth frequently represents clients at risk of disqualification under the totting up procedure and has an outstanding success rate in excess of 95% meaning that the vast majority of her clients walk away from court with their licence intact. Ruth attributes this success to the extensive preparation undertaken in advance of every court appearance so that she is in a position to evidence all of the client’s particular circumstances.

Ruth has particular expertise in alcohol related allegations which she finds the most interesting cases to scrutinise and has developed an excellent understanding of the various technical and procedural defences available to clients. She has an excellent knowledge of the different types of breathalyser devices used across England and Wales and the procedure and operation of each.

Ruth is often praised for her approachable and down to earth nature and ability to put clients at ease throughout the duration of their case. Notwithstanding this she has a tenacious and resolute attitude in dealing with both the Courts and the Crown Prosecution Service and is single minded in her defence of her clients.

“Thank you so much Ruth. I cannot express how happy I am and my thanks for the way you have handled my case. Not only did we achieve a fantastic result in court but you were on hand the entire way throughout the case to explain things to me and reassure me when I panicked. I hope I never need to use you again but I would not hesitate to recommend you and Olliers to anyone in the future – you were amazing.”
